At Shibata Textiles, a company that plans, designs, manufactures, and sells Tango chirimen sewn-take woven fabrics (dyed fabrics with patterns woven into silk base using lamé and colored threads) in Kyoto, we not only wholesale fabrics but also sell luxurious original products made with Tango chirimen. The fabric width is 40 cm, and the length can be customized according to customer requests, allowing for the production of unique, tailor-made items. Our main focus is on the development of kimono tomesode, but we can also produce visiting kimonos, tsukesage, komon, plain colored kimonos, juban, and hakkake.

The technique called "Sakiori" breathes new life into discarded fabrics. In this method, fabrics are thinly cut and repurposed to create new material. This sustainable process is so meticulous that only about 10 meters can be produced in a day. As we utilize discarded fabric, there's no large quantity of the same design available.
